Who We Are

Orlando Hurricane Shutter Pros is a storm-protection company serving Orlando and Central Florida. We focus on one thing: hurricane shutters. We do not sell windows, roofs, or remodels. When a company does one thing all day, every day, it gets very good at it — and that focus shows in every measurement, every mount, and every finished installation.

We started this company because we watched too many neighbors scramble when a storm was named. Plywood lines at the hardware store. Ladders in the rain. Families hoping the forecast track shifts. There is a better way to live in Florida, and it is a home that is ready before the season starts. That is what we build, one opening at a time.

How We Work

Every project follows the same careful process. First, we visit your home and measure every window and door that needs protection. We check the wall material around each opening — concrete block, wood frame, or stucco — because the right fastener for block is different from the right fastener for frame, and this detail is what holds a shutter in place during a storm.

Second, we recommend products that carry real approvals: Florida Product Approval or Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance. These approvals mean the product survived certified lab testing for wind pressure and debris impact. We do not install unapproved products, because an unapproved shutter can fail inspection and, worse, fail when it matters.

Third, we give you a clear written quote. It lists what we will install, where, and for how much — no vague line items, no surprise add-ons later. If permits are needed, we make sure the paperwork reflects the approved products going on your home.

Finally, we install, test, and clean up. Every shutter is opened and closed before we leave. We walk you through deploying each one so you are confident, not confused, when a storm is coming.

What We Believe

Honesty first. We will tell you when storm panels are the smarter buy for your situation, even though permanent shutters cost more. We will tell you when an opening does not need a shutter. And we will never invent a discount, a deadline, or a horror story to pressure you into signing.

Education over salesmanship. A homeowner who understands the building code, the product approvals, and the real trade-offs makes better decisions. That is why our site is full of guides — on shutter types, Florida code, permits, and costs. Read them before you talk to us or anyone else. You will ask better questions, and you will spot bad answers faster.

Every home is different. A block ranch in Conway needs a different approach than a two-story frame home in Windermere. We assess your actual house — not a template — and recommend what fits it.

Our Service Area

We serve Orlando and the surrounding Central Florida communities. From downtown Orlando to Winter Park, Dr. Phillips, Windermere, Lake Nona, Baldwin Park, College Park, Conway, Avalon Park, and Hunter's Creek, we bring the same careful process to every home. If you are nearby and unsure whether we reach you, ask through our contact form — we will give you a straight answer.

Beyond Installation

Our relationship with your shutters does not end on installation day. We offer shutter repair when a panel is damaged or a mechanism wears out, inspection and maintenance to keep everything storm-ready, and emergency shutter service when a storm is approaching and something needs attention fast. We also protect commercial buildings, because businesses need opening protection too.

Start With a Free Quote

The best way to learn what we would recommend for your home is to ask. Request a free quote through our contact form, tell us about your home, and we will respond with next steps. No pressure, no obligation — just honest answers from people who do this every day.

Questions homeowners ask us

Are you a local Orlando company?

Yes. We serve Orlando and the surrounding Central Florida communities. Every project gets an on-site visit from someone who knows local building practices, local permit offices, and the wall types common in Central Florida homes.

Do you offer free quotes?

Yes. Every quote starts with on-site measurement of your actual openings, and the written quote we provide is free. There is no obligation and no pressure to decide on the spot.

Do your shutter products meet Florida Building Code?

We install products that carry Florida Product Approval or Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance — the official approvals that prove a product passed certified testing for wind pressure and debris impact. These are the approvals building departments look for at permit and inspection time.

Do you handle permits for the installation?

Shutter installations in Orlando and Orange County typically require a building permit, and we make sure the installation matches the product approvals on the permit. Our local permit guide explains the process, and we walk you through what your project needs.

Do you repair shutters you did not install?

Yes. Our shutter repair service covers damaged panels, worn tracks, broken locks, and tired motors on most major shutter types, no matter who installed them. If a repair is not worth the cost, we will tell you honestly and quote a replacement instead.
